Ability to implement all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.

Ability to maintain discipline when students are on the bus.

Ability to report those students who do not obey rules to the proper authority.

Ability to keep assigned bus clean.

Ability to keep to assigned schedule.

Ability to check bus before each operation for mechanical defects.

Ability to notify the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.

Ability to discharge students only at authorized stops.

Ability to exercise responsible leadership and good judgment when on out-of-district school trips.

Transport only authorized students.

Ability to report all accidents and complete required reports.

Ability to enforce regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.

Ability to observe and follow all school district policies at all times.

Ability to respond to information requests in a cooperative, courteous, and timely manner.

Ability to implement and follow all district health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.

Ability to meet emergency situations in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Ability to perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as directed by the director of transportation or superintendent.
Term of Employment: Support contract, nonexempt from wage and hour
Evaluation: Performance effectiveness will be evaluated in accordance with Board of Education Policy.
